WB couldn't not have known about these products — they banned selling them themselves, in a new seller agreement dated July 10, 2026, eight days before the first strike on their warehouses.

All four are among the 4,373 listings that violate clause 39 of that same agreement.

The sellers aren't hiding either — alongside the usual Chinese dropshippers, Wildberries has specialized sellers actively trading here. They appeared after Russia's invasion of Ukraine began, and openly support it — including through the goods they sell to plug gaps in the Russian Defense Ministry's own supply chain.

Tactical assault body armor "Ataman" Br1 S2 — with quick-release, "Kordon" fabric, «собственное производство в России» ("made in-house in Russia").

The same "Ataman," in the Br2 version — the seller's own infographic shows an evacuation-strap mount and enlarged cummerbunds.

Both are from the "Ataman" line by the brand "Ganza," which, per the seller's own description, developed it «совместно с боевыми командирами» ("together with combat commanders").

Yes, the Defense Ministry has no contract with WB — but sellers of military goods brag about certificates of gratitude from the units they supply with uniforms, armor, and so on.

Three products with no civilian use whatsoever — a drone munitions-release rig, a UAV detector for defense against airborne attacks, and a pouch made from thermal-camouflaging fabric. In every listing, the seller themselves, in plain text, mentions the "SVO" zone.

The seller of a hemostatic tourniquet claims on the product listing that it was developed together with the Defense Ministry:

A tourniquet is a dual-use good: both campers and hunters buy them. But the claim of joint development with «действующими специалистами» ("active specialists") of the Defense Ministry — if true — directly contradicts Wildberries' official position that it has no contract whatsoever with the military department.

And the seller of an anti-drone poncho posts, in the product gallery, their own correspondence with field testers:

Here the seller doesn't just describe the product with the words "for the SVO" — they also publish, as proof of effectiveness, a field report on testing the thermal-camouflage in a front-line zone.

After the first strikes on its own warehouses, Wildberries appeared to start covering its most obvious tracks — for instance, deleting catalog pages titled things like "Everything for the SVO." But the products themselves never disappeared: they're simply sold under "innocent" trade categories like "Sporting Goods." Even though both the listings themselves and the reviews on them make it obvious what they're actually meant for.

How I Checked This

Every Wildberries product link looks like this: wildberries.ru/catalog/…/detail.aspx. I started by scanning Telegram channels that run fundraisers for specific military units with links to Wildberries products, then began searching by keyword ("body armor," "plate carrier," "night-vision device," etc.). A Python script (see the repository) then scraped each listing's product name, description, price/stock history, customer reviews, and the seller's legal entity — INN, sole-proprietor registration number, region of registration. Any visitor to the site sees the same data.

Every product is tagged along two independent axes. The first is functional purpose (body armor, first-aid kit, FPV drone, power bank, and so on). The second is military status: "unambiguously military" — items with no civilian use whatsoever in principle (a signal jammer, a VOG grenade tailfin, a BR5-class armor plate); "dual-use, elevated demand" — items sold to civilians too, but bought up mainly by the front (sleeping bags rated to −30°C, combat boots, radios); and everything else. The tagging is built on a dictionary of regular expressions, so it makes mistakes on edge cases. For example, a batch of souvenir pins for the "Krasukha-4" electronic-warfare complex — a metal token unrelated to the actual jamming station — got tagged "unambiguously military" under the first version of the rules purely because it repeated the real equipment's name verbatim; the same kind of mistake also happened in reverse — a "plastic mock armor plate, airsoft plate" was counted as a real BR-class armor plate for a while, simply because the word "armor plate" appeared in the title. Both errors have been fixed.

Breakdown by product type among these 7,666 listings — armor plates and combat FPV drones account for about 66%.

And here's what type of warehouse these listings are physically shipped to buyers from:

In other words, in the overwhelming majority of cases, it's not the seller but the marketplace's own logistics that handles storing and physically moving the product to the buyer.

What's Actually Sold in This Segment

This statistic covers not just the 7,666 "unambiguously military" listings, but the entire tracked corpus — 19,972 product listings found through Telegram fundraisers and keyword search. Breakdown by functional category, with each category's split by military status (the 12 largest categories; another 1,259 listings across 10 smaller categories aren't shown):

Wildberries Itself Bans Selling These Goods on Its Own Platform

Wildberries' seller agreement has an appendix called the "List of Banned Goods." The current edition took effect on July 10, 2026, eight days before the first attack. I saved a copy so it can still be cited after the edition changes.

We checked the entire tracked corpus against these three clauses. The result:

In total, at least 4,373 listings violate the specific, verbatim-quoted-above clause of the agreement Wildberries requires every seller to sign. And of those, 3,910 — about 89% — ship to the buyer from the marketplace's own warehouses. So Wildberries isn't just allowing goods banned by its own contract into the catalog — it's servicing them with its own logistics.

How I counted this, and what this count does not claim. I applied clause 39 of the seller agreement to a given listing only where the product is both, by functional category — body armor, helmet, uniform clothing — and by military status unambiguously "unambiguously military," with no civilian use. Camouflage clothing marketed "for hunting," tactical accessories, and merch didn't make it into this count, even though the wording "goods of a military assortment" may well cover them too.

Who's Selling

802 different sellers on Wildberries sell at least one "unambiguously military" item. 27 active ones account for 4,225 listings — about half the entire segment; the leaders are "A&R Group LLC" (931), sole proprietor Voeikov A.I. (594), and sole proprietor Yaitsky K.D. (590).

Among them are not just sole proprietors with one or two items, but legal entities like "A&R Group LLC" and "KB ATL LLC," registered as ordinary marketplace suppliers on the same footing as sellers of phone cases.

But the top 20 by listing count is a poor guide to the sellers' geography overall. It shows who has the most product, not who's trading it at all. If you break down all 802 sellers who currently have at least one "unambiguously military" listing by place of registration, a different picture emerges: 430 of these 802 (54%) are registered in China (they carry a Chinese Unified Social Credit Code instead of a Russian INN), versus 359 Russian ones (another 13 of undetermined origin). Chinese sellers simply almost never make the top 20: 72% of them (311 of 430) hold only one or two "unambiguously military" listings — meaning this is broad-catalog dropshipping, not specialization — so by volume per seller they lose out to Russian monobrand specialists (see below), but by number of distinct legal entities trading this product, they dominate.

The same picture holds through the lens of brand, not seller entity: a handful of trademarks account for a disproportionate share of "unambiguously military" listings — sometimes it's the same brand represented by several different sellers at once (meaning it's a coordinated product line, not a naming coincidence):

What a Wildberries seller trading exclusively in military goods looks like — an example

On Wildberries, this looks like two ordinary, formally unconnected sole proprietors: Svetlana Olegovna Yaitskaya (storefront "Ganza-Online," brand "Ganza," 100 listings, 88 "unambiguously military") and Konstantin Dmitrievich Yaitsky (brand "Stena," 854 listings, 590 "unambiguously military"). Both are registered in Stavropol Krai (their INNs start with 263…). But the description of one of "Stena's" products names the real brand it belongs to: «"Ганза" — тактическое снаряжение, которое не подведёт» ("'Ganza' — tactical gear that won't let you down").

The same product with the same description was also sold on a separate site, unrelated to Wildberries — ganza-online.ru (now defunct) — and its legal details name a third member of this family: "Sole proprietor DANIIL KONSTANTINOVICH YAITSKY." Judging by the patronymic, this is the son of Konstantin Dmitrievich, the "Stena" seller on Wildberries. Here's what "Ganza" said about itself on that site:

"The Ganza industrial sewing factory has been producing tactical gear and equipment since 2021. The company now includes a large staff, online stores with the best ratings on the marketplaces, over 1,000 orders a day, and products carried in 140 stores across Russia."RU«Промышленная швейная фабрика Ганза производит тактическое снаряжение и экипировку с 2021 года. The "Ganza" group of companies describes itself as more than just a factory. Another (also now-dead) site, gk-ganza.ru, names three lines of business for this group: a sewing factory, a rehabilitation center for servicemen, and a charitable fund for them as well:

"The Ganza group of companies is an industry of caring for the military. We unite related companies into a single infrastructure for servicemen. From developing quality, affordable domestic tactical gear, to rehabilitating combatants after stress disorders, to humanitarian aid for the front."RU«Группа компаний Ганза — это индустрия заботы о военных. The "Ganza" charitable fund isn't just on paper. Its own site (also unreachable as of publication) gives its full name — the "Ganza Charitable Fund for Aiding SVO Participants and Civilians Affected by Military Actions" — and publishes named fundraisers for specific units: anti-drone blankets for troops on the Kherson axis (300 units), a Mavic 3T drone with a release mechanism and batteries for an artillery battalion, thermal-imaging scopes for snipers on the southern Donetsk axis, gear for a motorized-rifle company. All of this, incidentally, is also sold on Wildberries by other sellers. Here's more of what the Ganza fund says about itself:

Who Most Often Sells Military Goods on Wildberries

"Seller" in this piece sounds like a single category, but it covers at least two very different types of participants.

Chinese cross-border resellers. 430 of 802 (54%) legal entities currently trading at least one "unambiguously military" listing — more than half the entire group — are registered in China (a Chinese Unified Social Credit Code instead of a Russian INN). They're simply invisible in volume rankings: 72% of them (311 of 430) hold one or two "unambiguously military" items in a broad, mixed catalog (FPV components, power banks, thermal-imaging optics), so by volume per seller they lose out to Russian monobrand specialists, but by number of distinct legal entities, they form the single largest group of sellers in the whole sample. A single Chinese legal entity typically operates through several different Wildberries storefronts at once — that's not a naming coincidence, it's the same INN under different signs. For example, the company Quanzhou Yier Shunxing Trading Co., Ltd. (code 91350425MA338QHQ0A) trades through 2 storefronts at once ("CYuniversal," "CY2universal") — 137 items, 65 of them "unambiguously military." The company Quanzhou Luojiang Paileihuo Trading Co., Ltd. (code 91350504MAERNYQU64) — through 5 storefronts ("MagnitSC112," "ElstarSC16," "SashinSC115," "AvroraSC14," "BystryySC19") — 160 listings, 69 "unambiguously military."

The single widest catalog in the whole database doesn't belong to an individual seller at all — it runs under the name "Finds from China" (internal supplier IDs 250132124 and 250149024 — 637 listings across 11 categories, 239 of them "unambiguously military"), but this isn't one seller's storefront, it's the platform's own curated selection. Wildberries integrated AliExpress product listings directly into it, keeping the original descriptions, photos, and accumulated reviews. That's why Wildberries' own supplier-by-id lookup publishes no INN, no legal name, no state registration number for these listings — there's simply no single identifiable seller behind the listing to name (for comparison, the exact same query for any of the Chinese sellers named above returns a full legal name and code).

Monobrand military specialists. At the other pole are sellers whose catalog is almost entirely "unambiguously military" items under one brand: sole proprietor Voeikov A.I. (599 listings, 594 "unambiguously military" — 99%, brand TOGA UNIT), sole proprietor Sergeev A.A. (98 of 98 — 100%, brands VoinZ/Yakeda). And "AlliancZ" sells a product whose name is simply — "Body Armor for the SVO."

And Where in Russia Are the Other 356 Registered

The first two digits of a Russian INN are the region code where the entrepreneur or legal entity is registered for tax purposes. Among the 356 Russian sellers of "unambiguously military" goods with a known region, the capital and the region around it account for almost a third.

Where It's Headed

I monitored 38 Telegram channels that run fundraisers for specific military units, and found 8,809 direct links to Wildberries products in their posts (and another 10,165 to Ozon) — including links hidden behind a clickable word or emoji (the link itself isn't visible in the post text, only in the message markup). Here are the most active fundraisers linking to Wildberries:

"Everything for the SVO"

After Ukrainian drone strikes on Wildberries' warehouses began on July 18, 2026, and continuing to this day, many news outlets reported that the platform removed the "Everything for the SVO" section from its site navigation. That's only half true: in Wildberries' public category tree (the file main-menu-ru-ru-v3.json), there is not, and never was, a section "for the SVO." But it's important to understand what this page actually was to begin with: not a standalone catalog section in the category tree, but a pre-built search query (a "preset") that Wildberries had served for years at a short tag URL. Removing such a page from the menu is not the same as removing it from the catalog — the pages themselves never went anywhere.

What this "preset" actually is, technically, is visible in the service file the platform itself returns before rendering the page:

The name field is just searchQuery with its first letter capitalized, and link (for another tag we found, "kit for the svo," it's literally "/catalog/sport") points to an arbitrary, non-military parent category. In other words, this isn't a hand-built catalog section, it's a templated page the system builds around a literal search query — the very same one real buyers typed into the search bar. Technically, it's the same internal search (u-search/exactmatch, tagged catalog_type: "preset") that serves any ordinary query.

On July 29, 2026 — after the stories about the "Everything for the SVO" section being removed had already been published — I opened a similar page, wildberries.ru/catalog/tags/svo-tovary, checked it, and logged which query hit the platform's server. It carries a relevance score of rs: 100 — an exact match. At the time of checking, this catalog held 9,995 products, including "Body Armor 8301, Tactical Military Plate Carrier, Multicam," an odor neutralizer "for the army, the SVO, Rosgvardiya" from the brand Helmetex, and a tactical first-aid kit "for the SVO."

But if not in a special "for the SVO" section, where in Wildberries' actual, human-built catalog does all this product actually live? I matched the subject_id of each of the 7,666 "unambiguously military" listings against the platform's full category tree (109 root sections, the file subject-base.json, which the platform itself serves from its own CDN). The result held for 100% of listings — and not one landed in a section with a military-sounding name, because no such section exists on Wildberries: 48% sit in "Sporting Goods," another 18% in "Electronics Accessories".

The single largest cluster — 2,240 armor-and-plate-carrier listings, sitting entirely in a subsection called "Body Armor" — sits inside "Sporting Goods": the same section as hunting scopes and camping load-bearing vests. Combat FPV drone components — batteries, frames, antennas — sit in "Electronics Accessories," next to phone cases. Combat helmets share the "Sports Accessories" section (sports helmets) with "Workwear & PPE" (protective hard hats) — but never get a section of their own.

Sometimes this gets absurd: a payload-release mechanism for a combat FPV drone (nm 983152301, "Universal Cargo-Release System for Drones") is filed under the subsection "Sorters" in the section "For Toddlers." Motors and frames for combat drones sit in "Remote-Control Toys," one of them in "Doll Accessories."

This isn't an exhaustive sample: it doesn't include products that aren't mentioned in Telegram fundraisers and can't be found through basic keyword search. In other words, 7,666 doesn't mean "there are 7,666 different military-purpose products on Wildberries" — it's only what I was able to find through a surface-level search.
