This page lists every distinct source behind the archive — occupation government portals, developer and corporate-ownership records, Telegram, resale marketplaces, satellite imagery providers, and the international legal/journalistic material used for context. Counts below are pulled directly from this project’s own chain-of-custody log — every artifact is SHA-256 hashed and timestamped at capture, before any parsing — not assembled from memory.
01 · Primary government sources
ГАС «Правосудие» (the Russian state judicial-records system), mirrored onto DNR domains. Each case is a self-incriminating, dated lifecycle record: utility cut-off → “ownerless” notice → inspection → designation → municipal-ownership petition → transfer. This case type is now closed — ФКЗ-4 (15 Dec 2025) abolished the court stage in favor of direct registry inclusion.

2,666 cases across Mariupol’s four district dockets, none carrying a street address on the docket card itself; the crawl has since been extended region-wide to 8,271 cases across 26 DNR courts, with the address redacted to «<адрес>» on 100% of published rulings (see the court-docket case study).

Russian federal damage/reconstruction tracker (1,941 buildings) and the housing-queue/distribution lists were supplied as downloadable XLSX, not crawled live; both are hashed in the raw store under damage_assessment_xlsx / housing_distribution_list.

~190,000 individually hashed captures across 37 distinct channels, split into two categories with different publication rules.
These are private or semi-private resident chat groups for specific Mariupol apartment buildings — the project’s primary-source intelligence on day-to-day occupation, seizures, evictions, and demolition as residents experienced them. Per this project’s privacy rule, invite links to these private chats are not republished here; each channel is documented internally against the property it covers (src/mariupol_seizures/chat_buildings.py) and cited address-by-address in the relevant case studies. 04 · Resale marketplaces
The demand-side endpoint: where seized/registry-stripped flats reappear for sale. Avito.ru enforces a hard IP-level geoblock against non-Russian-routed traffic, so most Avito evidence in this archive is screenshot capture provided directly by the project’s Russia-routed research rather than an automated crawl — each screenshot is still hashed on intake.

Used sparingly and verified address-by-address — this project’s own review found title/caption-based video matching unreliable, so every video citation in a case study was manually confirmed against the full file, not the title alone.
