Every source, catalogued.

This page lists every distinct source behind the archive — occupation government portals, developer and corporate-ownership records, Telegram, resale marketplaces, satellite imagery providers, and the international legal/journalistic material used for context. Counts below are pulled directly from this project’s own chain-of-custody log — every artifact is SHA-256 hashed and timestamped at capture, before any parsing — not assembled from memory.

1,964,531hashed source artifacts in the raw store
55distinct hostnames/portals crawled
37distinct Telegram channels captured

01 · Primary government sources

Occupation court portals

ГАС «Правосудие» (the Russian state judicial-records system), mirrored onto DNR domains. Each case is a self-incriminating, dated lifecycle record: utility cut-off → “ownerless” notice → inspection → designation → municipal-ownership petition → transfer. This case type is now closed — ФКЗ-4 (15 Dec 2025) abolished the court stage in favor of direct registry inclusion.

2,666 cases across Mariupol’s four district dockets, none carrying a street address on the docket card itself; the crawl has since been extended region-wide to 8,271 cases across 26 DNR courts, with the address redacted to «<адрес>» on 100% of published rulings (see the court-docket case study).

02 · Corporate & developer sources

Developer, land-grant & demand-side sites

The reallocation end of the pipeline: companies receiving Mariupol land grants without auction, and the marketing sites selling the resulting new-build apartments.

03 · Telegram

Telegram

~190,000 individually hashed captures across 37 distinct channels, split into two categories with different publication rules.

28 building-chat resident channels (~145,000 messages)

These are private or semi-private resident chat groups for specific Mariupol apartment buildings — the project’s primary-source intelligence on day-to-day occupation, seizures, evictions, and demolition as residents experienced them. Per this project’s privacy rule, invite links to these private chats are not republished here; each channel is documented internally against the property it covers (src/mariupol_seizures/chat_buildings.py) and cited address-by-address in the relevant case studies. A sample of the buildings covered:

04 · Resale marketplaces

Apartment resale marketplaces

The demand-side endpoint: where seized/registry-stripped flats reappear for sale. Avito.ru enforces a hard IP-level geoblock against non-Russian-routed traffic, so most Avito evidence in this archive is screenshot capture provided directly by the project’s Russia-routed research rather than an automated crawl — each screenshot is still hashed on intake.

06 · Video

YouTube & video

Used sparingly and verified address-by-address — this project’s own review found title/caption-based video matching unreliable, so every video citation in a case study was manually confirmed against the full file, not the title alone.

SourceRole

Telegram-native video (t.me CDN)e.g. the 13.07.2023 “Nakhimova 82 на продаже” clip — forensically captured, cropped, re-hashed before embedding

07 · Legal & journalistic context

International legal frameworks & reporting

Not crawled sources — the legal and journalistic record this project's findings are mapped against, and that supplied the original investigative lead.

A note on completeness

This list reflects the project’s chain-of-custody log as of the most recent capture run. It will grow as new sources are crawled — the live front line, following the 1 July 2026 re-registration deadline, is re-snapshotting the ownerless registry to capture what changes now that the deadline has taken effect. Nothing here is presented as exhaustive of what exists, only of what has been captured, hashed, and is on file.
Occupation government records (court rulings, registry entries, decrees) are catalogued here as evidence of the act of seizure, never as valid title. Ukraine does not recognize them; neither does this project.

Support this project

The project’s author investigates and documents the dispossession of Mariupol’s residents using only his own time and resources — no editorial budget, no grants, no institutional backing. If you find this work valuable, you can help offset some of the costs I’ve incurred.
